after the great success of the first two seasons, we decided to offer you a 3rd fresh new season of

Drift City - The 3vs3 SuperStar League

As you might have already noticed, the league will be in SuperStar Arena - V8 to V9. Since the last update anyone can get V9 cars. Also all the car auctions in the past helped everyone to get a decent V9 car.

General information

The league is again divided in two episodes. First of all we will start with a usual league phase, where all teams will head each other. The best 8 teams will progress to face off in the final tournament. Why should you join?

Because we canoffer an amazing reward for the winners:

1st team: 750 EUR
2nd team: 500 EUR
3rd team: 250 EUR

Due to the fact, that we are talking about a team league, only sign ups of complete teams will be accepted. A team consists at least 3 players, but you should think about adding more to have enough players on every matchday. The drivers can be swapped before every single race without any limitation. The complete season will be played: 3vs3.

What do you need for a sign up? A complete registration contains your team name, the team members, a team leader and his standby.

We are happy to announce the final content of our major game update! We put together both previews and added the final changes! Enjoy!
New content:
Mitro Yellow Booster can be purchased in the F4 DriftShop. You can buy the item for 20.000 Mito for 7 days and it will add an extra 15 Booster points and a 20% faster Boost recharge.

The Union Wing is available as new S-Points Wing, it has the same bonus points as the Razor Wing. You can purchase the item for 7 days for the price of 610 S-Points.

GT and Volk Rims are available for 345 S-Points and 470 S-Points with the same bonus points as the Schnitzer and the Mickey rims.

For 3000 Mito you can get a cool rainbow colored license plate.

5 additional Mito Decals have been added: Sheet Line, Knife Spark, Checkerboard strip 1, Shadow and Thunderbird Feather.

Mystic Gray, Indian Red are the new Mito colors. You can also get new glossy colors:Orange and Royal Blue.

The Tokio, Cielo, MM T1 and the Snake get their MKII kit. The Snake transforms into a convertible!

You can purchase four new Mito cars in the Dealership, the V3 Coppelia, V6 Titan, V8 Vega and the V9 Cross. The Coppelia and the Cross are both race cars and the Titan and the Vega are excellent HUV cars. Both cars have their regular aero kits available.

While adding the new cars we also removed all the upgrade conditions from all the cars in the game! You will be able to upgrade your car with S-Points and the required level without any other requirement!

Three new tracks have been added to the Battle Zone: Koinonia Narrow Road, Moon Palace Junction and Moon Palace Tornado! All new added tracks now reward 100% more XP when racing! In addition new instant missions are available that boost your experience rewards even more!

Leveling in the battle zone is no longer a problem!

Additional detailed changes:

• Both the German and English item names now work properly in the auction house.
• All English and German error messages are working again, all number errors are gone.
• The Channel Battle payout is working again and shows the correct amount of Mito earned.
• Various delivery exploit have been fixed. Once the update is applied we will reset all highscore lists on the servers. From now on we punish cheated times with account suspension.
• All decals are now properly available for 30 days.
• Problems with the battle zone have been fixed, this is another step closer to get the battle zone bug (the game closes randomly if you try to spectate or join a room) fixed, please provide feedback!
• Your login name is now saved if you tick the checkbox at login.
• Many interface elements got reworked, for example the calls and the 3D navigation arrow.
• Many optimization changes in the code result in an overall performance increase in the game engine!
• Instant missions are no longer available in the station menu, instead they are now given to free players in the game! All old instant missions are replaced with newer ones.
• In addition there are new instant missions in the battle zone, in the city and combined with HUV calls.
• The S-Point option parts drink will now protect your options from a downgrade, at worst the option will not change at all. This way you can slowly upgrade all your options to the maximum.
• The license interface was reworked and moved to an extra overview, F9. In addition you now receive a monthly Mito bonus for all gained licenses. The payout is always at the 1st of the month.
• The F3 interface was redesigned: You now have additional information in the car interface, this includes installed parts and options. There are now details descriptions of all the stats and you can see the top speed or your car, the acceleration to top speed, the HUV damage your car does and the boost time of your booster! It is much more easier to compare items, dockings and options and you can see the change on the fly!
• Around 25 new repeatable missions have been added to Koinonia and Cras. You will be able to level up with them until you reach the required level to purchase a V9. Even then they give great rewards like for example: 900 Bonus EXP or 4400 Bonus Mito and more! In addition those missions are challenging and far from a cake walk! Also they will help beginners to close the gap from Cras to Oros from level 30 to level 50. But be warned, you really have to step up and get a decent car and parts to be able to finish some of them, be prepared for a challenge!

Gotcha is a unique opportunity to get

exclusive cars, parts and licenses! Gotcha can be played with both Mito and S-Points by pressing F8.

The S-Point car Gotcha offers V4 to V8 Shadow gift boxes! This car is available with 3 different models. The chance to get the extra models (BT = Acceleration, ST = Speed) is much higher as with the Mito approach!

Mito players also have the chance to get all the Shadow cars, but you have to put car- and key parts together to create gift boxes.

The Shadow also has cool decals and air ducts which add a nice bonus to your cars total points! Those extra items are available in the DriftShop both for Mito and S-Points.

All items obtained from Gotcha are bound to your character, you cannot trade, auction or send them. The only exception are the parts once wrapped into a parts box.

Further Gotcha highlights:

• A fancy Hyper parts set is available. The set consists of two Beta and two Alpha items. The set bonus is: + 6km/h, + 1 second boost time, 90 acceleration points and 100 durability points. The set can be installed into any car of a V7 or higher class.
• A cool new collector license can be obtained and stars all the DriftCity characters! Collect all hero icons and earn a cool license! This license grants 8% bonus EXP and Mito.
• S-Point users get a cool new item from Gotcha, the portable Parts Shop (consumable & stacks)! You can use it anywhere in the game, for example to sell your will inventory in the middle of a Rushtime!

Into the Summer, not only in DriftCity!

Some of the HUVs in the cities are pineapples and melones! They will drop event letters (F E S T I V A L) that can be combined into an event box. You also get those boxes for racing in the battle zone! Use the boxes to get cool S-Point item rewards!.

In the summer event you also get many cool style items for Mito in the DriftShop: you can get glossy colors, glossy rims, booster and wings! Those boxes could even contain colors and rims that are not available in the game right now! The boxes are limited to 7 days on purchase and each item add 24hours on the duration (same items stack in time). There are also wings and rims that transform your car and add extra bonus points!

And now on to our highlight of this update, the GT Championship!

The new GT championship is available in the battle zone. The GT championship consists of 4 different tournaments and you can qualify in one of them! You can change through the tournaments in the qualification phase. When you change from one tournament to another you lose your best time and also your qualification! The track and traffic settings are given and will be the same for all tournaments.

The following tournaments are available:

Rookie - Realmatch with the tutorial car up to level 70
Touring B - Realmatch with the realmatch car up to Level 100
Touring A - All cars with a max speed up to 360 km/h and up to Level 100
GT Master - no limitations

All battle zone items are disabled. You can create rooms during the qualification phase and we suggest you fill open rooms. You can also start on your own and race alone and with a good time you can qualify yourself.

The qualify round is open for 30 minutes, in this time your best time counts. Excluding the last 3 minutes, where you are unable to start and join any more races, you can race as many times as you like. 32 players can qualify for one tournament.

After the qualify the tournament continues very similar to our Sunday tournaments. You get assigned to a room and race for two rounds, your best time decides if you advance or not. Later on you get points for your position in the race. All further details can be obtained from the tournament help in the GT interface.

The top 16 of all four tournaments get cool S-Point prizes and millions of Mito! Are you ready for the challenge?

The GT Championship is held every Sunday at 6:00pm GMT+1!

The update will take place on Friday, the 25th of June 2010 between 3:00am and 5:00am GMT+1. Please note that the servers will not be available during that time!

The following preview contains additional content that will be added to the patch shown in the preview two weeks ago! Some of the content however was changed!
New content:

• In addition there are new instant missions in the battle zone, in the city and combined with HUV calls.

The Gotcha system was changed on your requests:
The S-Point Gotcha system was changed and you can now get a V4 to V8 Shadow gift box from a spin. You no longer collect car and key parts. The chances for the BT / ST version of the shadow are much higher then in the Mito section.

All the car parts, A to D, and all key parts are now available for Mito! You can spin and get all parts you need for the Shadow without investing S-Points at all! This includes the BT/ ST version, but with a lower chance!

The prices for each spin is either 10.000 Mito or 450 S-Points.

The decals and air intakes have been moved to the DriftShop and S-Point/Mito purchase options are available.

S-Points user now get the chance for a portable parts shop item in the parts area. You can use it anywhere in the city, for example to sell your full inventory in the middle of a rush time!


The F3 interface was redesigned:
You now have additional information in the car interface, this includes installed parts and options. The Summer is starting with a cool Summer event!
Some of the HUVs in the cities are pineapples and melones! They will drop event letters (F E S T I V A L) that can be combined to a lot. We will soon release additional information on when and how you can turn those lots into an reward.

In addition to the HUV event you will get many cool style items for mito in the DriftShop: you can get glossy colors, glossy rims, booster and wings! Those boxes contain colors and rims that are not available in the game right now! The creates are limited to 24 hours on purchase and the items have the same limitation. There are also wings and rims that transform your car and add extra bonus points!

And now on to our highlight of this update, the GT Championship!
The GT Championship is available in the battle zone! It is similar to our league ladder but at a much larger scale! You have 4 leagues in total, each with 4 classes. You can particpate in two leagues per season, you can switch anytime but you can only qualify in two of those for the finals!

Rookie League - Realmatch up to Level 70
Touring B - Realmatch without any level restriction
Touring A - all cars up to 360 km/h without any level restriction
GT Master - no restriction at all

All battle zone items are disabled. Time attack! Your best time counts!

The first round of the qualify is 30 minutes, your best time counts.There are three more rounds until the final. Top 16 players in each league and class will get rewarded with a ton of S-Point items and millions of Mito!


The whole system is very complex and we will provide more details soon, including the times when this mode is available for play!

With the above changes we will release one major update to you, we hope you enjoy the new content! The final date is not decided yet, so some of this content may change again!

Please note that due to the World Cup, we will quickly move through the tourney and therefor reduce the wait times to 1-2 minutes. We see if we can end the tourney before 8:30 pm GMT+1 so you all can go and watch the next match! So please be one time if you want to participate! Please pay extra attention to the Battle Zone bug and avoid it when you enter a room!

We are happy to announce our next content update! The update will be installed on the 19th of February at 3:00 am GMT+1. The server will be down for about an hour. Thank you for your understanding.

The following content will be applied:
New content: - Level limit 100, you can now level up to level 100!
- Undercity Koinonia opens the gate. You will find the portal besides the rushtime zone in Koinonia. You need a V5 car to enter the instance but we highly recommend that you gather a very good team before you enter the instance! Of course new items are available for you!
- 2 new Mito cars are available for purchase, the FondoX V6 and the Jupiter V4.
- 2 new colors: Indian red gloss and Electric orange - Pink Neon
- 3 new Decals: Race Flames, Shock Lightning and Triple X - 5 new bodykits: FondoX, Jupiter, Leopard, Panda Mk.II, Maxi Mk.II (You can spend the 20 points on the Mk.II kits freely when you purchase the kit)

Bugfixes / Enhancements: - the crash bug is fixed when entering or spectating a battle zone room
- the exploit on delivery missions, where players could drive in their cars total points, have been fixed
- english client: the crashes with token girl and mittron dust vendor have been solved
- the confirmation message for acution house sells have been removed and a short information notice will show up on the bottom right side
- the ingame chat is now protected by an anti spam feature
- all glossy colors have now +8 speed and +7 acceleration points

Why should I join now?

Because we could offer you the amazing reward of Season 1 for the winner, again:

• 1st team: 750 EUR
• 2nd team: 500 EUR
• 3rd team: 250 EUR
